tiny newsletter #177: summer in the city bucket list
hello helloooo,
no season seems to slip by faster for me than summer. is it the same for you?
in an attempt to lean into this one, however long it feels, here's what i'm hoping to do:
visit the james turrell room at moma PS1
bake the astro egg sandwiches (detroit fotn know how good these are)
go to the queens night market
get pastries from ACQ bread co.
swim!! new central park pool + last yr's fav astoria pool
free concerts in central park (if tix are sold out, have a picnic nearby and listen)
take the ferry whenever possible
visit an auction house (great art, strong AC)
read restaurateur keith mcnally's memoir
eat at ha's snack bar
hayden planetarium show (pedro pascal did the new voiceover)
visit the earth room (it’s by artist walter de maria, a loft in soho full of dirt)
hang out on my building's roof
shakespeare in the park (free! in late aug)
catch up on tv: the rehearsal s2, buccaneers s1, the bear s4, adults
plus eat as much fruit from the farmer's market as i can. what's on your list? write me back, lmk!
