tiny newsletter #169: lagoon city

hello hellooooo,

coming at you live from venice! a beautiful city where the roads are water, there's endless tourist shops to ignore, and we went on a treasure hunt to find our airbnb keys - they were in a padlock attached via chain to a window grate, lol. it's the last stop on our grand italian adventure!

favs from 48 hrs here: reading about the history of st. mark's square while sitting in it, drinking bellinis at harry's bar, sitting in giardini reali, a garden full of blooming honeysuckle, and smelling every scent at santa maria novella, the world's oldest pharmacy (est 1212, no joke).

in addition to bopping around, we are...

📺 watching survivor. madeline is in a bracket to predict the winner so i've caught up quickly. now i'm into it - rooting for kyle + kamilla's impressive teamwork and using surfshark to watch.

📚 reading living an examined life: wisdom for the second half of the journey. this book by jungian psychoanalyst james hollis is an introspective guide to an intentional, fulfilling life. we've been reading a chapter out loud every night and letting the wisdom infuse our dreams. 12/10.

🎧 listening to so much girlypop music. you're telling me there's new maggie, haim, AND lorde rn? an incredible overlap in the venn diagram of my musical interests tbh. also this, hahaha.

🎤 sadly missing rent for cheryl. nyc friends psa: one of my oldest childhood friends isabelle post and her band are in town to play at piano's tmrw! they're amazing, you gotta go!! snag tix here.

👀 venice details 👀 glass letters, multitasking gondolier, gorg doorbellsmosaic sign, the v best chips in our humble opinion.

💌 and that's the tiny letter! thank you for reading, xo aud
