tiny newsletter #226: back on my beat

hi hi,

big week for climate change huh :( i feel like this! thinking of all my midwest f&fotn (friends & family of the newsletter).

this week, i…

🕯️ saw cat cohen perform broad strokes. this new one woman show is mostly sung + chronicles her stroke at 30 as a lifelong hypochondriac. if you were young for your grade, you'll get an extra laugh out of it. full of online humor, i rly enjoyed.

🎥 watched maddie's secret. comedian john early's directorial debut, this movie will hit if you were locked in to bon appetit test kitchen's youtube peak (2018-2020). amazing lighting + best rec'd if ok w/ eating disorder content.

📚 read fleishman is in trouble. i loved the tv show in 2022, and the book is just as sharp. taffy brodesser-akner wrote a novel i couldn't put down about falling in and out of love, ambition, and expectations in wealthy nyc circles.

~ bonus section ~

🌳 hamptons recs 🌳 the luckiest draw is a friend whose fam has a house + dog there, TYSM fotn becca schwarz!! in e. hampton read your book at georgica beach + see perf hydrangeas, in montauk visit the ranch sculpture garden (email to book a free appt + watch this spinning tree).

on my list for next time: museum of rare trees, pollack-krasner house, softserve at bostwick's.

💌 and that’s tiny! thank you for reading, xo aud
