tiny newsletter #203: we (kind of?) have costa rica at home
hi hi,
on one hand, i love winter and it’s nice to be back in nyc. on the other, costa rica is a lovely place and in another reality i’d like to still be there.
to try and bring the vibe here i’ve been putting cacao nibs on yogurt and having plantain chips as a snack. plus my apt is 1000 degrees so that’s kinda tropical, lol. but i do rly miss ~ casado ~.
casado is a traditional costa rican meal, often made for lunch. every chef does it a little diff but it’s often a piece of fish or chicken, jasmine rice, black beans, grilled plantain, and a tiny salad.
i have a vision of myself where i make this at home, but it wasn’t in the cards this wk. maybe sometime soon tho, bcuz it truly is a fab lunch.
all to say - i’d love to hear how you bring pieces of trips back home w you. write me back, lmk?
💌 that’s the tiny letter! ty for reading, xo aud
