tiny newsletter #187: hitting the town
hello helloooo,
nyc events rly ramp up in the fall, when many residents are back from escaping the heat of summer. i love how it feels like back to school for the whole city, even though i've become quite fond of quiet augusts here.
this week, i went to...
🎸 haim's concert w friends of the newsletter (fotn) ha jin park and makenna smith! all of my pics are terrible, but i loved that they kept all screens off so the crowd was dialed in. i've been listening to lucky stars on repeat ever since.
🎨 painter lily stockman's opening at the charles moffett gallery. i've followed lily's work for 10+ yrs, and this time i got to meet her! as usual, her paintings have a magical grasp of color – truly, they glow. the show's on til oct 11th, go and see if these dahlias are still in bloom too.
🫖 painter anna weyant's nyfw exhibit. she and marc jacobs turned a townhouse into a dollhouse by filling it w oversized decor and dolled up (lol) models. i was surprised to see it only included 2 of her paintings, they're the best part. open 1-4p today if you're playing hooky!

🎾 an ode to tennis balls are you hunched over a computer all day like a shrimp too? i'm trying (failing) to be better about sitting up straight, but what actually helps is doing this.
💌 and that's the tiny letter. thank you for reading, xo aud
