🎧 listened to ankles. lucy dacus on goodreads last wk, lucy dacus in my ears this wk. this is my fav song on her new album. “agent of chaos, angel of death / one of three ancient fates / playing w your scissors again.”
👀 read looking at picture books. i am rly enjoying this substack from two award-winning children’s book authors and also bffs jon klassen and mac burnett. they break down components of picture books via text and then publish the transcripts. an insightful delight!
🃏 thought about the oblique strategies card deck. it’s a set of 100+ cards by musician / producer brian eno from 1975 that each have a challenge on them to assist in making creative work. i.e. “use an unacceptable color”. has anyone here tried them? adding to my wishlist.
