📺 watched instruments of a beating heart. this ~20 min doc follows a group of tokyo 1st graders who learn to play ode to joy together to welcome the next class. the ups and downs in this!! will melt your heart, loved.

🎨 painted. i signed up for a beginners oil painting class and it has been so fun!! class 1 was all about the underpainting and in class 2 we did our best to fill it in. grapes and shadows are tricky - excited for class 3. 

👀 checked out old ads. my fam has owned men's clothing stores in michigan since 1933 and it turns out my dad has kept every nearly ad they've ever made. lots of gems in here: 1, 2, 3!
