đ„ tiny newsletter #49: bonne annĂ©e! paris recap
hello! bonjour!
is it too many days into jan to say happy new year? idrc, hny! how did you ring yours in? i felt like the luckiest girl in the world spending mine in paris w fotn eleonora saravalle, charlotte may, and lilly tyson.
in paris, i...
đŒïž saw beautiful art. we filled up on museums: an elsa schiaparelli fashion retrospective, monet's water lilies, jeu de paume, the rodin museum, and daniel burenâs striped column courtyard at the palais royal. bummed it's too late to make stripes my signature motif!!
âȘ learned a little history. we visited sainte-chapelle, a royal chapel famous for its stained glass windows, and les invalides, a military museum w a confusing layout thatâs the resting place of napoleon's tomb.
đ§ left no crumbs. we set an ambitious 2 crĂȘpes/day quota and tucked into cafĂ© au lait w pastries at les deux magots and cafĂ© de flore, gin and tonics at le georges, sweet and savory soufflĂ©s at the aptly named le soufflĂ©, and roast beef tartines at bar de la croix rouge.
đïž found special treats. fav stops included perfumery officine universelle buly 1803, hip concept store merci, gourmet grocery la grand Ă©picerie, and taxidermy shop (stay with me, folks!) deyrolle that felt like walking onto a wes anderson set.
âš had a lotta fun. nora gave us custom p22 hats, lilly brought disposable cameras, and charlotte taught us how to create a proper cheese board. we played reverse charades (i lost every round lmao) and saw ina garten and jeffrey having coffee in our neighborhood!!
while it did feel incredibly glam to be there for new years, all i ever rly want is to spend time walking and talking about everything and nothing with people i love. iâm so grateful for a trip comprised of exactly that.
đ and that's the tiny letter! thank you for reading, xo aud
